"From technology to my hair, a lot has changed," says Pichai upon reaching his 20-year Google milestone

"20 years in, I'm still feeling lucky," Pichai went on to say, referring to his sustained enthusiasm for working at Google. He has been with the company since 2004 and hasn't lost his zeal and gratitude for being able to contribute to such an incredible company to this day.

Twenty years into the company, and Sundar Pichai continued to flash his ever-growing experience over his tenure at Google, reminiscing about his very first day at the company and the many changes he has seen over the years—many technological, the expanding base of their users, and yes, even the changes in his own appearance, he humorously pointed out in his hair.

"20 years in, I'm still feeling lucky," Pichai went on to say, referring to his sustained enthusiasm for working at Google. He has been with the company since 2004 and hasn't lost his zeal and gratitude for being able to contribute to such an incredible company to this day.

The post drew congratulatory messages from users, commending Pichai's dedication and his testimony to the legacy of excellence he has built in the past 20 years. "Two decades of dedication, twenty years of triumphs, and a legacy of excellence," one user wrote, echoing many others.

Jokes were in line too. "Google kept your hair too." one user jabbed, a joke light-heartedly jabbing at Pichai's ability to retain his hair amidst the stresses of the industry.

"I cannot decide which achievement is greater, 20 years in all the technological improvements you've brought or the fact that you haven't gone bald after 20 years in tech," wrote another jokingly.


Pichai oversaw the innovation and product management for a number of Google projects, including Chrome and Chrome OS. He was also instrumental in the creation of Google Drive.

He was named Google's CEO in August 2015, and in 2019 he became Alphabet's (the parent company of the internet behemoth) CEO.
